Cast-on Six Ways

16 May, 2017 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

£30

Strength, stretch, versatility and style: different projects call for different cast-on techniques and choosing the right one matters. Meanwhile most of us use the same cast-on, regardless of what we’re making. Edging expert and knitwear designer, Eli Leistad, thinks we should all be taking casting on more seriously, and she’s on a mission to show you how.

Join Eli for this two hour evening class and learn all about these six cast-ons and when you need to use them:

The Old Norwegian CO
Backward loop CO
Judy’s magic CO
Provisional CO
Provisional crochet CO
Provisional tubular CO

Materials
Needles, hooks and practice yarn will be available during the class. If you would prefer to bring your own, you will need:

  • a crochet hook
  • 2 pairs of the same size knitting needles, one of which should be an 80cm+ circular needle
  • some waste yarn, preferably 2 colours
  • a darning needle

Anyone wishing to purchase class materials to take home can do so with a 10% participants’ discount.
