Doll Making Workshop for Children

8 July, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 6:00 pm

£95

This special doll making class is a junior sized version of doll-maker, Mopsa Wolff’s celebrated adult course. Using techniques based on traditional European doll-making, Mopsa will help each child learn how to make a cloth doll with simple embroidered features and stuffed with lovely warm organic Yorkshire wool. These dolls are also known as Waldorf dolls.
During the class the children will learn how to attach limbs to the body, stuff the body, create the head with binding string and a tubular bandage, embroider the features and sew in the hair.
Each child will have a choice of skin and eye colours, and can either bring their own yarn for hair or use Mopsa’s un-dyed brown wool.

The class is suitable for children aged 7-14  with enthusiasm for sewing and crafting.
Under 8s will need to have an adult with them
All class materials will be provided, but each child will need to bring their own packed lunch.
