Knit 15: Niche Talks for Knitters

28 February, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Exploring niche areas of knitterly interest, Knit 15 is a new series of talks for curious crafters.

Every month, expert speakers will deliver a 15 minute talk  followed by questions and discussions with the audience.

February’s episode: From her knowledge of indigenous breeds to handmade textiles, Rosa Pomar’s fascination with the history and survival of Portuguese knitting, has given her the repuation of a wool-making pioneer. In this month’s talk Rosa will tell the story of the transformation of sheep’s fleece into the beautifully ball-banded wool that is now so beloved of east London knitters.

Rosa will be available to answer questions and sign copies of her new book Portuguese Knitting, after the talk.
