Yarn Tasting: A knitter’s guide to breed-specific yarns

12 November, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

£40

Spend the evening knitting with six different breed-specific yarns and learn how the characteristics of each fleece affect the fabric that you make. By swatching and switching between the yarns, you’ll get an expert feel for the different fibre, and what sort of knitting each one is suited to. Fleece and fibre expert, Jane Lithgow, will guide you through the part that crimp, loft, staple length and lustre play in the nature of each yarn.

Wine, juice and a variety of sheep cheese and crackers will be served during the evening.

The cost of this class includes your own box of all six yarns that will be ‘tasted’ during the evening.
