A pattern from The Shetland Trader Book One, a collection of 10 patterns inspired by the Shetland Islands from designer Gudrun Johnston with photography by Jared Flood.

This garment is worked bottom up in once piece dividing at the armholes to work back and fronts separately. After the shoulders are joined stitches are picked up from the armhole and the sleeve cap is shaped using short rows.

Gauge: 26 sts and 34 rows = 4″ / 10cm in st st
30 sts and 34 rows = 4″ / 10cm in lace pattern
33 sts and 37 rows = 4″ / 10cm  in st st

Needles: US 4 – 3.5 mm, US 6 – 4.0 mm
