Most of us are familiar with Jamieson’s Spindrift with its myriad shades, famous for fair isle colour work knitting. Less well known is Spindrift’s big sister, Jamieson’s Shetland Heather which has the same glorious heathered woollenspun shades but in a plump two ply Aran weight yarn.

Shetland Heather has a rustic feel and a light generous yardage making it perfect for outdoorsy cardigans and jumpers as well as sturdy hats for winter hikes. It is perfect for overall textured patterns that don’t require crisp stitch definition and ideal for large scale colour work producing a coherent and very warm fabric.
