Woad is a naturally occuring source of indigo dye which grows throughout the UK, but is most famously part of the textile heritage of East Anglia, where evidence has been found of woad dyeing from thousands of years ago. Aviva Liegh continues that tradition from her dyeing studio in Aylsham, just outside Norwich where she dyes beautiful blues with home-grown woad on British wool.
These 20g mini-skeins come in 5 shades and are available in singly or as a set with one of each shade – ideal for gradient knitting.
