It should come as no surprise how much we love Rosa Pomar yarns. One of their sheep gems is Brusca. At first sight it appears quite stern and rustic but it only takes a squeeze to discover its soft heart. A closer look reveals that it is a woollen spun 2ply blend of Portuguese Saloia and Portuguese Merino knitting up to what we feel is a proper DK weight yarn. This makes this non super wash yarn which feels smooth for a woollenspun perfect for a range of garments light enough for a Hackney autumn but still cosy and reasonably quick to knit. From texture to cables and colour work we can’t speak highly enough of this versatile and affordable yarn.
