Isle Yarns come from a family farm in Dorset, produced in small batches and in a palette of colours to reflect the stunning Purbeck landscape. The farm’s Dorset sheep have a ‘downs’ type of wool, known for its density and springiness. They also use Dorset X Swaledale X Bluefaced Leicester to add softness but still hold the rustic nature of the wool.
Finished items will show excellent stitch definition and will be very warm and rustic. The wool takes dye clearly. It is stretchy so blocking will allow for slight size adjustments. All the colours are named after fields on the farm.
Please note that some shades come as 50g balls, and other shades come as 100g skeins, hence the difference in price.
