  • Kits

Our Kits come as a box full of Here-you-are-so-you-can-get-on-and-do-it-now. Just as suited to nervous newbies as multi-crafting have-a-goers, they come complete with all the tools, yarn and instructions you need to get started.

    Yarn

Choose a soft and chunky yarn and take your first projects from on-the-way to nearly-finished before you run out of steam. You and the yarn are going to be together for a while, so it’s worth choosing wool in a colour you really get along with, to make fabric you know you’re going to want to wear.

    Needles

Warm and comfortable in your hands, and smooth without being too slippery, bamboo knitting needles are the beginner-friendly option for making sure you feel in control of your stitches. Check your yarn’s ball band, or your pattern instructions to find out which size needles are right for you.

    Books

Take it one page at a time and follow the instructions at your own pace with our carefully chosen favourite Beginner’s How-to books.

    Little Knitters

How old is old enough to knit? Any child who’s got the fine motor skills to tie a pair of shoe-laces can learn to knit. Kids tend to get on their way with making things even faster than adults. All you need is finishable project ideas, thick wool and short needles.
