Love fluff, not so enamoured of double stranding? Saperlipopette is the answer. A light and fluffy DK weight, this brushed alpaca silk blend knits beautifully in a single strand on 3.5 or 4mm needles. One 25g ball gives the equivalent meterage of a standard 50g ball of DK yarn. The result is a floaty, fluffy cloud of knitting that will sit lightly on your head, shoulders and body. It's a perfect combination of warmth without heaviness, super for blouses (anything with a 20 stitch gauge is perfect) and very warm little kerchiefs.

Fonty's “La Filature de Rougnat” was founded in 1880 in Rougnat, Creuse, and is one of the last wool spinning and yarn dyeing factories still operating in France. The mill sits on the banks of the Cher, in the heart of the Combrailles, an area steeped in local sheep-rearing and wool-making heritage.The mill uses a fleet of traditional machines that the team has renovated and maintained and which stay true to its place in the regional textile history.
