Description

Wool from pasture-raised merino in the Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Using undyed fleece in the natural cream oatmeal, silver, brown and black colours of the sheep, the fibre is brushed and then spun on a spinning wheel whilst it still retains the greasiness of its original lanolin. The yarn is then washed 3 times, air dried and hand-balled into 50g pods.

The single ply yarn is next-to-skin soft, and has the characterful irregularities you expect from a hand-spun yarn.
