Rauwerk is a 2ply, woollen spun 100% Merino DK wight yarn from Bavaria.
Bouncy and soft, yet rustic and characterful in appearance, this yarn is good for a wide range of garment and accessory projects, allowing enough stitch definition for a richly cabled sweater or a cosy lace shawl. Equally, the abundant character in this yarn will let your favourite stocking stitch project, speak for itself. Fabric knitted with Rauwerk wool tends to bloom fantastically after being given a soak, so it's well worth swatching and blocking your swatch to get a correct row and stitch gauge for your knitting.
Rauwerk comes from a local, organic certified farm on the outskirts of Munich. The yarn is spun in a mill nearby in the Chiemgau region in the Bavarian Alps.
