Beginner Plus
One method Good. Two methods better!
Joint pain, knitting speed, stitch tension and stranded colourwork are all good reasons to extend your repertoire of knitting styles.
Whether you’re a life-long English ‘thrower’ style knitter, or you’ve never mastered the art of having the yarn wrapped around your fingers as you knit, this class will get you started with a fresh approach that could be a game-changer.
Join Yarnsub’s Wendy Peterson for a special lesson in ‘picking’ stitches the continental way. This style of knitting carries the yarn on your left hand, making it the perfect complement for anyone interested in holding contrasting colours on each hand for stranded colourwork. In this class you will learn how to :
During the class you will be working on Wendy’s Pickled Peppers scarf pattern which requires 200g of Malabrigo Chunky wool (available to purchase separately with a 10% participants discount). If you would prefer to use your own yarn, please bring 100g of chunky weight wool and a 6mm circular needle which is at least 60cm long.
The class is suitable for people who are already on the way with their knitting and comfortably managing knitting, purling, ribbing and casting on. Ideal for knitters who are ready to learn new techniques.
