The Long-Tale Book Club

The Long-Tale Book Club

“My my, what extraordinary stories you tell”, said the wolf when he came into the wool shop.

“All the better to knit to” said the shopkeeper. “Wednesday evening is our Long Tale Book Club with short stories and long knitting. If you promise not to eat any grannies you can come too”

Join us for an evening of listening to stories, poems and passages while you knit.

The Long Tale Book Club is an occasional meet-up for knitters to listen to stories read aloud whilst knitting.

We warmly invite knitters to suggest readings including: short stories, poems, memoir, non-fiction, works in translation, and excerpted texts (no knitty theme requirement!). There is a free pass for anyone who would like to volunteer to read and we particularly welcome any writers and poets who would like to read from their own work.

Please note The Long Tale Book Club event will be held in the basement of Pages of Hackney, 70 Lower Clapton Road and (not at Wild and Woolly).
