This single pattern designed by Meg Rodger, the Shepherd and Wool Maker behind the Birlinn Yarn Co, is a perfect palette cleanser, season-starter, knitting-mojo-finding pattern.
As Meg says, “Everyone needs a wee striped scarf these days … adds a pop of colour to your outfit, gives comfort against a spring chill but can be worn all day as the sun comes out!”
A quick easy pattern designed for all knitting abilities.
You only need to know how to: cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and bind off. Even if you haven’t mastered all of these techniques … maybe this is the time to learn!
The pattern gives you four different colour combinations – single colour, half n half, quarters and stripes – but there are plenty more believe me I had to hold back and keep things simple.
So why not go for it and use this basic pattern to invent your own version.
