There’s a quiet nostalgia in the balls of this softy DK from West Yorkshire Spinners. It hints at the hand knits we wore in instamatic photos that are stored in shoeboxes and albums instead of phones. There’s also a  proper-ness to the wool – standard DK gauge, with a smooth round texture – which makes it a completely reliable choice for DK patterns. ]

The wool comes from the organic Merino, Polwarth and Corriedale sheep breeds who graze the hillsides of the Falkland Islands. This is a very soft yarn, which makes it an obvious choice for baby knits, as well as accessories and even sweaters for grown ups.

West Yorkshire Spinners are a family run business, firmly rooted in the the worsted spinning and textitle traditions of the area. Their yarns are spun at their mill in the Aire Valley.
