Vovó is a versatile and hard wearing DK weight worsted spun 3 stranded yarn made from fine Portuguese wool, mostly from Campaniça sheep which have a medium soft, smooth fleece from Southern Alentejo. The 3 strands give the yarn a rounded feel making it especially suitable for garments and accessories that need a good stitch definition whilst maintaining a coherent and warm fabric. This yarn is equally at home with traditional cables and the latest colour work sweaters . Whilst the name of the yarn means ‘Grandmother’ in Portuguese, as the ball band suggests, we’re talking grandmas with tattoos and attitude.

This yarn is not superwash treated so we recommend hand washing and drying flat.
