Spun in Yorkshire from the fleece of British BFL flocks, this yarn is a bang-on DK with a worsted spin and a 3ply construction. This gives it lustre from the sheep’s characteristic long-wool, and a smoothness from the spin – great for crisp stitch definition on texture-rich projects. Super soft, making it suitable for next-to-the-skin accessories and sweaters, but unlike its better known shorter-staple-length softy cousins such as Merino and Corriedale, the BFL has a durability that protects it against extreme bobbling. The DK range includes 3 undyed shades plus 9 colours overdyed on the light brown, which create a slightly heathered depth to the shades.

West Yorkshire Spinners are a family run business, firmly rooted in the worsted spinning and textitle traditions of the area. All their yarns are spun from British fleece, at their mill in the Aire Valley. By working closely with local sheep farmers and wool merchants they created their 100% BFL Fleece range to champion British wool and its place in our textile heritage.
