Re:Treat from West Yorkshire Spinners is a 100% Bluefaced Kerry Hill single plied, worsted spun, chunky. The roving style of the yarn means that it has been very lightly twisted in one direction only. This means that the finished fabric will be as soft and airy as it can possibly be but it’s important to take care not to untwist the yarn while knitting or crocheting as it may fall apart. We would recommend this yarn for accessories such as hats, scarves and cowls where softness is a priority.
This yarn is not superwash treated so we recommend gentle hand washing without rubbing or wringing and drying flat. Did you know that wool repels dirt naturally? Regular airing in cold air between washes can extend the life of the accessory.
West Yorkshire Spinners are a family run business, firmly rooted in the the worsted spinning and textitle traditions of the area. All their yarns are spun from British fleece, at their mill in the Aire Valley. By working closely with local sheep farmers and wool merchants they created their range of yarns to champion British wool and its place in our textile heritage.
