Wool Kitchen Blue Faced Leicester DK is a super wash treated four stranded round and bouncy worsted spun. The yarn is smooth and soft enough for both adult and child garments and accessories. This yarn is superwash treated so although we usually recommend hand washing it can be machine washed on a gentle setting using a PH neutral wash without optical whiteners to prevent fading.

Helen Reed, the dyer behind the yarn, brings a fascination with colours from her urban environment to her practice, whilst also drawing inspiration from constellations and cosmic explosions in the night sky. She approaches dyeing as a knitter, often reverse engineering her colourways from the fabric she’d like to knit up. Her signature ‘zip yarns’ made up of a solid plus a vibrant multicolour pop, are perfectly suited to knitting and crocheting using assigned pooling techniques.
