Babyalpaca is a super soft light 4ply yarn. The fine fibre in the twist contains microscopic air pockets which makes the yarn both very light and extraordinarily warm. The fine gauge of this BC Garn Baby Alpaca makes it an ideal candidate for working together with a strand of another yarn to add softness and drape without bulk. It also converts into a perfect DK gauge (22-20 stitch) when knitted double. On its own, it’s super for feather light and soft shawls, light weight garments.
